Hello!
With over 25 years of experience teaching private piano and voice lessons, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my role as a music educator. Along with giving private piano and voice lessons, my teaching journey has also included positions in public schools, charter schools, music schools and a community college, providing me with a diverse range of instructional experiences.
As a dedicated member of the Music Teachers National Association, Texas Music Teachers Association and Rockwall Music Teachers Association, I am committed to sharing my love for music with my students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Wartburg College and a certification in the Kodaly Method from the University of St. Thomas
Throughout my career, I have had the honor of serving as president of and singing with the non-profit touring choir, Women of Song. I have also judged piano and voice contests for the National Federation of Music Clubs. My passion for music extends beyond teaching; I have also written several children's musicals.
I look forward to continuing to inspire and nurture the musical talents of my students!
My Teaching
My students develop a strong foundation in musical technique, artistry and performance. By working together with students to develop goals, whether it's preparing for a competition, recital, audition or overcoming performance anxiety, I am able to help them achieve success. Read what parents and students are saying!
I emphasize the importance of quality practice over quantity, and my students have consistently won top honors in piano and voice competitions, landed their dream roles in musicals, and been accepted to prestigious music programs. Let's work to cultivate a lifelong love and appreciation for making music!
